A pain in my sea groyne.

Hampton beach has changed drastically since the paintings found on the beach were made. The sea is deserted in comparison barely 2 people can be witnessed traipsing along the hot; sharp shell covered sand before me. There is nothing but the wind blowing and the distinct smell of the rotting seaweed before me. There used to be beach shacks, there used to be people, there used to be something here, now there is nothing left, the grey overcast showing the pathetic fallacy supported by the grey sand.
Bottles litter the pathway, both broken and untouched a clear example of the desperate social activity founded by the beach. A single middle aged woman walks slowly behind her dog as it jumps in the air attempting to catch the non existent sea spray. The boats float calmly as the wind pushes them apart, the tides turning, the boats are spinning around, an example of the human affects and social activities created.

The marina itself a grey concrete based building, the basis for our boats, its a way of fisherman both making money and creating purpose. In an attempt to keep the beach supposedly the same they created groynes, a wall of rocks to split different regions of the beach. The groynes stop the sand from travelling too far. The concrete pathway to stop theAdd Image sand and show the territory we have created for the beach, stopping the high tide.

Whilst the beach sustains itself its slowly being destroyed by us through littering and much larger damage. The beach cannot be sustained as soon there will be far too much water to be held in the little area created because of us and because of our choices.

Moon Power?

Harvesting tidal power is overall a very effective and economical form of power, it uses the tide (waves) to spin turbines and create electricity. It relies on sea water to create electricity making it a renewable form of power; there's enough sea water and soon there will be far too much of it. However it requires a beach to run so not affective in all locations, but very good for Australia and in particular Melbourne. Tidal power is my favorite form of power as i am a very Melbourne based person and i know that most of Melbourne's beaches are all but useless.
Solar power is whilst very expensive, a good way to harvest electricity especially considering that the suns rays are just going to keep getting hotter and hotter. Solar power takes the heat provided by the sun and uses that energy to form electricity by charging turbines (above).Wind power harvests the kinetic energy from the wind and uses it to turn an areal turbine (see above) in order to make electricity. This is a very good form of electricity as we are so rich in wind. Offshore wind turbines are ideal for some ares because they are not visible from land so that neighbors don't complain about the "eyesores" being near them as much.

Renewable forms of power are sustainable because they don't require any finite fuel sources such as coal or natural gas. All though these forms of electricity require large amounts of copper in order to create and spin turbines which isn't as sustainable.

"If you pay us we wont kill this tree"

The Business Man
The business man was able to make money from carbon offsetting whilst providing a viable solution to the vast amount of carbon being produced
. Without the businessman there would be no liaison between the developing countries and the big business such as Starbucks. Without liaison then there wouldn't be any trade and carbon offsetting would cease to exist.Dor Jee Sun is businessman and will honor any deals made to pay off countries to not burn down trees. Whether he will enforce his own rules upon the governments on these countries is unknown.
The Farmer
The farmer has an individually small affect on the burning of the trees. But when all the farmer's carbon emissions and then the lack of carbon being taken in by trees is combined with all of the farmers emissions the level is critical. Without the farmer there theoretically wouldn't be anyone to burn the trees considering that the government wants to preserve the trees for multiple reasons ($ and the environment)
. However without the farmer then the government has no people to lead and then they have no country so as applicable as it may say to dispose of the farmer its not.
The Rescuer
The rescuer provides help and service for the injured orangutans, without rescuers then the orangutans population would decline dramatically. The rescuer is also there to show that some people still care for the environment enabling support for the environment.

Carbon Credits
Carbon credits are bough from an offsetting company in order to insure that all carbon being used by a company or person is being turned back into oxygen. Buying a carbon credit means that either trees will be planted or at the very least kept alive in order to turn your carbon back into oxygen. They are in a way blackmail to say "If you pay us we wont kill this tree"-What carbon offsetting company's are between the lines. But none the less its an effective system with the only drawback being the limited response from business as that the only incentive for them is a much "greener" product.
